I’ve wanted to try crossfit for many years but was always hesitant because I saw how hard the people worked and didn’t think I could do those movements/exercises and always feared being injured.  I finally jumped in a year ago, at the constant encouragement of my wife Susan, and joined PCF. At the very first class, taken with my friend and PCF member Laura Stever, my life changed for the better.  I found a community that put exactly what I wanted, to become stronger and more fit, challenge myself beyond what I was currently doing and do that in a community setting, into motion.

 

One of my favorite things I like about PCF is the caring, dedication and differences of all the coaches.  Beginning with Lee, our leader, to Mitch, Brielle, Amy, Kevin, Caitlyn, Hannah, Sara, Casey and Joe.  I have learned so much already from their coaching and recommendations to their encouragement and never letting me slack!  They are a constant reminder of what we can become with hard work and dedication. 

 

Another aspect of PCF that I like is, of course, the workouts. (Even burpees!)  The versatile exercises and movements complement my whole body and transition to my work and everyday life. And the best part of these workouts is that you can scale any of them to fit your level of fitness, even mine!  Each and every coach goes over the RX version (recommended weight/rep/time) and all the different scaled versions to suit your fitness.  I have PR’d many of the exercises since joining and continue to improve daily.

 

I would wholeheartedly recommend PCF to anyone wanting to better themselves physically and mentally and who want to do it in a community setting.  You will grow in an environment of people who only want you to succeed, who encourage you with every rep and who push you whether you are first in the class and last.  Giving 100% is the only requirement.
