CrossFit Kids is a play-based class for children between the ages of 3 and 7. The goal of CrossFit Kids is to establish confidence and a love of exercise in a fun, safe environment. Our certified CrossFit Kids coaches guide the young athletes through a warmup game, skill (can include movements such as squats, burpees, somersaults, and more), workout or obstacle course and game. Parents are welcome to drop their children off and wait/watch from our upstairs members lounge. No weights are used in the CrossFit kids program.
CrossFit Tweens (for ages 8-12) will teach foundational movements, which may include the use of PVC pipes (no barbells), light dumbells (if appropriate and the athlete is ready), wallballs and more. Athletes can expect to complete a warmup, learn a skill, do a WOD and play a game. The focus is safety and establishing competent movement patterns. No prior experience is necessary.
CrossFit Teens (for ages 13-16) will help teenagers develop and refine skills that will help them in sports and their overall athletic and fitness journey. Light weights may be used only when the athlete demonstrates that he/she can move them competently and safely. Each week, athletes will be coached through a warmup, skill or strength work, WOD, and stretch/cool down. Young athletes of all abilities are welcome. No experience is necessary.
