Kelly started Crossfitting in 2013 while finishing up her degree at Rutgers. After moving home and trying the 'globo gym' scene, Kelly was searching for a more motivating and personal gym experience when she stumbled into a box in Bridgewater where she lived. She was hooked from day one and went on to get her Level 1 certification a year later.
Kelly began coaching in Bridgewater in 2014 and a year later moved to Pennington. She was worried about finding another CrossFit community that was as supportive and motivating as the one she was leaving. Lucky for her, while looking for places to live, she walked into one house and, Kevin Doran the landlord, was wearing Nanos! Not only did Kevin and Donna help Kelly find a place to live, but the whole PCF community welcomed her with open arms and helped to make Pennington a 'home.'
CrossFit started as a supplemental workout for Kelly; helping to make her a better rugby player. But since being introduced to CrossFit she now considers it her favorite sport. The constantly varied and challenging atmosphere keep Kelly excited to come in and workout everyday. Kelly says that she views CrossFit as something "easy to fall in love with, but hard to master." When you finally get one movement, something new comes along and you are back at square one! Kelly loves the community environment, constantly learning new things, and helping members try to reach their goals.
